Why am I running?
My decision to run evolved from the very little difference I saw in the infrastructure of my home from the time I left for college in 1979 to when I returned home in 2003. Things I took for granted living in states like Florida, Texas, Washington, California, etc became front & center issues when I came back home… Utility Power, Roads, Ports, Airports, Drainage/Sewage, Cost of Living overall immediately got my attention.
The appearance of impropriety & the patterns of misconduct in government also got my attention. There are some very public examples of that problem across the board in government. It’s my view that such misuse/betrayal of the public trust is a high crime & should be stamped out with extreme prejudice.
These issues, in my view, all point to a loss of the real meaning of SERVICE in our government’s elected & appointed officials. This needs to change.
I am a private citizen, stepping up to this challenge; not to win a popularity contest, rather it’s my intention to attack the real problems facing OUR home. We are all stakeholders & have a say. My only government experience was a very enriching experience as a naval officer & naval aviator. The rest of my experience is in the private sector.
